On April 6, 2009, Sirdeaner Walker and her family's lives changed forever because of the tragic loss of Sirdeaner's son, 11-year-old Carl Joseph Walker-Hoover.

For the past 2 ½ years, Sirdeaner has partnered with GLSEN to become a national advocate for anti-bullying protections in schools. As a member of GLSEN's National Board of Directors, she works tirelessly to ensure that every child is safe in school. Sirdeaner has traveled the country telling the story of the bullying and harassment Carl suffered at the hands of his peers and the failure of his school to intervene.

Tomorrow night, ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition comes together with the community of Springfield, Massachusetts, and GLSEN to give a new home and the sense of a fresh start to Sirdeaner Walker and her family. We hope you can tune in as the Makeover team works its magic on the Walker's house, pays tribute to Carl, and talks about the important work she is doing with GLSEN to honor his memory.
