TODAY IS THE NATIONAL DAY OF SILENCE!

Ad Council Logo
Dear ,

As you read this email, hundreds of thousands of students in all 50 states have taken a vow of silence to protest anti-LGBT bullying and harassment.

These brave students are doing what far too many school administrators and lawmakers won't: collectively, they say "enough" to anti-LGBT hostilities in America's schools, and demand a unified effort to make it a thing of the past.

Students who take a vow of silence put themselves on the line when they do it. Many are tormented or made fun of by peers. Others face hostile attitudes from their teachers. It takes a lot of bravery to take a public stand in front of all your classmates and faculty. But bravery is also what it takes to create change.

Peace,
Leif Mitchell and Liane Roseman
