Greetings!
If you need help with your preparations in any way, please let us know. Continued progress toward safer schools for all of Connecticut's students is only possible if we all participate, and reducing or eliminating name calling is a powerful step toward that goal. Peace,
Leif Mitchell and Liane Roseman Co-Chairs, GLSEN Connecticut

Kevin Jennings' Anti-Bullying Keynote At A Special State Forum
Kevin Jennings, GLSEN's founder and current Assistant Deputy Secretary, Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools in the U.S. Department of Education, delivered the keynote address at a state forum in Hartford designed to ensure that every student is safe to learn. Convened by the Governor's Prevention Partnership and the Connecticut Commission on Children, the event was billed as "a conversation with students affected by bullying, state policy leaders, and local stakeholders who have experienced success in tackling the problem". Many horrific, first-hand accounts of bullying, harrassment and assault were given by courageous students and teachers. Kevin responded to these accounts passionately and eloquently, and offered many concrete suggestions for improvement and change. Click here to access his entire powerpoint presentation.
