DWELL Conference
March 5-7
What is the purpose of the DWELL Conference?
We believe God has called us to invest in our city. Historically, one of Lighthouse's strengths has been global missions. Despite this vision for reaching the nations with the gospel, we haven't focused much on reaching our own city with the gospel. We want to spread the vision for local outreach, for thinking of ourselves as missionaries here. We want to think about our city the way Jesus thinks about it. We intend to maintain our focus on reaching the nations-in no way do we want to take away from that! But we want to expand our focus to our own city as well. This new annual To the City Conference (this year, called "Dwell") will help cast that vision and provide some practical ways to effectively spread the gospel in our city.
'Seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the LORD on its behalf; for in its welfare you will have welfare.'
Jeremiah 29:7
Evangelism is not an individual effort. While each individual must play his or her part in it, evangelism was not meant to be done alone. Thus, we believe life groups play a critical role in reaching our city. While the conference will teach concepts that apply to any believer, it will be primarily designed to teach and equip life groups.
What is the format?
The conference will take place on Friday, March 5 through Sunday, March 7, 2010. The format will be similar, but not exactly the same, as our annual fall Missions Conference.

7:00 - 9:00pm General session
Saturday, March 6
9:00 - 9:45am Breakout sessions
10:00 - 10:15am General session
11:15 - 12:00pm Breakout sessions
12:00 - 1:00pm Lunch (Off Property)
1:00 - 3:00pm Service projects
Evening Concert
Sunday, March 7
9:00 - 10:00am Breakout sessions
10:00 - 11:30am General session

GROW - week 7
Giving 
Discipleship, Evangelism, Community, Compassion, Worship, Service - these are all core values of LCF that we have been studying together. We believe that GROWTH in these areas is essential to the life of the believer and the life of the church
This week we will consider Giving, and the need for the believer to live as a faithful steward of the resources God has given him.

Marriage Class
The topic for this Sunday evening is "Busters and Boosters to Great Sex." Biblical and candid...plus you have the opportunity to ask anonymous questions. 5:26 sharp in the Library.

Leadership Training Night
This Monday, March 1st at 7:30pm 
All deacons, life group leaders, and ministry team leaders are asked to join us in the auditorium on Monday night for our first quarterly Leadership Training Night.
This time will be used for relaying important upcoming church events, discussing leadership principles, answering your questions, and more. Please plan to attend. Childcare is provided.

Jenny Jemson
and the Tanners!

Jenny Jemson returned for a 5 week visit home before returning to school with Word of Life in Argentina in the summer.
The Tanners will be coming home for a few months for the birth of their son. The Tanner family will be arriving in Nashville Friday night. If you
would like to meet them at the airport, their flight is UA #8061 from
Washington DC. The arrival time is 5:44 pm.
After getting in, they want to eat at Camino Real. If all goes well
with picking up baggage, they should get to the restaurant around 6:30.
If you are planning to eat at Camino, please send Sharon a text at
397-0588, letting her know how many to expect. We need to call the
manager at Camino tomorrow morning with a number, so please send the text sometime today.
