Introducing Our Featured Artists...
palette
On our website, we are now spotlighting encaustic artists under our new section called our  Featured Artists.  You will find an artist profile filled with plenty of information regarding their life as a professional artist and their love for encaustic!  For each artist, we post a question and answer session, a slideshow of their artwork images, and even a short bio!

We go through an in-depth selection process and in the end, our Enkaustikos staff declares our Featured Artist for the site based on a variety of factors.  The artists selected have caught our attention with their artwork and continued dedication to the encaustic medium.  They have  also demonstrated impressive technique, maintain a thorough understanding of encaustic painting, and of course, include Enkaustikos Wax Paints in their creative process.  Last December, we chose Jan Clayton Pagratis as our Featured Artist and we just named Linda Womack as our newest one in mid August.  We encourage you to visit our  website to learn more about these successful encaustic artists.  You will surely learn more about encaustic and hopefully pick up some great advice from fellow artists!

Just Announced: Linda Womack is Named Our Newest Featured Artist!
linda womackAuthor, artist, and instructor, Linda Womack is our newest Featured Artist!  Linda is well known for her book Embracing Encaustic and also for her popular website blog that attracts encaustic enthusiasts.  She teaches encaustic classes, shows in national gallery exhibits, and has even been a speaker at the Annual Encaustic Conference at Montserrat College of Art.  We were excited to work with her on this project and hope that you find her story inspiring.  To read more about Linda, visit our website where you will find her short bio, her artist statement, and our interesting Question-and-Answer session with her!  You can even browse a collection of her artwork!
