Facebook Challenge Results:
Lime And Orange
 | | Challenge Entry from IPCA Member Donna Greenberg |
Last month, the IPCA held a Color Challenge on the IPCA Facebook Group. For the challenge, group members needed to post polymer items made in the colors of orange and lime green. They could create anything they wanted, as long as the colors of the items were primarily lime and orange. It was a great challenge event, and we'll be doing another one this month. Won't you join our group and particpate in the next IPCA Color Challenge?

A Great Crafter's Resource
When it comes to crafty-ness, I've often been a CRASH test dummy: in other words, my craft closets are filled with products I've purchased, thinking they'd be the next best thing to sliced bread. Turns out they weren't. In some cases I'd had unrealistic expectations about the product, in others I used it incorrectly, and in a few cases the product was just downright awful.
Looking back, I'd have really liked to have known about Jenny Rohr's craft product review site, CraftTestDummies.com, before I'd spent my hard-earned pin money on something I'd never use. So with that in mind, I exchanged some email with Jenny and we talked about her work and her life, as well as picking her brain about her favorite polymer clay products!

Congratulations To Our Graduates!
| School's out, and the flurry of summertime activity has begun. We've cheered at commencement speeches, shared in the joy of caps flying through the air, attended barbecues and made our summer vacation plans.
The IPCA wants to celebrate with you, and to do that we've gathered up a bountiful list of polymer clay classes, workshops, and retreats from around the world. These events are a perfect excuse to travel!
We'd also like to invite you to stop by our big booth at the Bead & Button Show. This is the largest consumer bead show in the world! It's held every June in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. The IPCA has had a booth at the show for the last few years, and the response to our guild by attendees of the show has been really good. Our booth is located in the concourse just opposite the main entrance to the exhibitor hall.
Free technique demonstrations by prominent polymer clay artists are scheduled at our booth all weekend long, so stop by and meet Christi Friesen, Julie Picarello, Lisa Pavelka, and more!
To learn more about this event, as well as all the other events all over the world, scroll down to the Classes And Workshops section of the newsletter.
How're we doing? We'd love to hear your feedback, and you can contact us at administration@theipca.org.

Guild Spotlight: Introducing The Newly Formed Scottish Polymer Clay Guild
| by Chris Pellow
After years in the making, the Scottish Polymer Clay Guild was founded by Valerie Wallace & Chris Pellow. For years, they have been introducing Polymer Clay into the lives of unsuspecting "victims". Slowly but surely the word was spreading, and the need for materials, supplies, information and support closer to home, has become necessary. They aim to provide support to the polymer clay community in Scotland, backed by their knowledge and expertise. They are hoping to establish a network of Scottish polymer clay groups and create a warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere where all clay addicted souls can feel at home among like minded people . Their full statement, program and details of the Guild will be available on their new website in the coming weeks. Keep an eye out for it! |
