Advocate for a Strong Ombudsman Program for Seniors in Santa Cruz County
|
The Ombudsman Program of Advocacy,Inc. serves the counties of Santa Cruz and San Benito and is a partner program of our United Way.
The program consists of concerned community members who are willing to advocate for the rights and dignity of residents in nursing homes and community care facilities. They provide an ongoing presence in facilities to promote the highest quality of life and care. All communications with an Ombudsman are confidential and there is never a charge for services.
You can help Ombudsman gain much needed state funding by letting the Assembly know that you support Assembly bill AB 392. This bill is up before the Assembly Health Committee on APRIL 14th and would restore funding to ensure that California's vulnerable and isolated elderly are afforded protection through the Ombudsman Program.
