Success of Oral Digital Impression System

The Lava Chairside Oral Scanner has been used successfully for a year to make digital impressions at Wallach Dental. We were the first dental office in the St. Louis market to use this new technology and only a few other dentists here have since added this tool.
The scanner replaced the process of making impressions with the gooey, rubbery putty in trays. The digital impressions are far more detailed and accurate than the putty impressions and can be enlarged, rotated, and reviewed in 3-D.
Impressions are taken when patients need crowns, veneers, bridges, inlays, and onlays. Our office has conducted 260 digital scans in the last year.
