Greetings!

Thank you for being a part of MASWA. It is our membership that makes our organization a success.

Have a great Thanksgiving!

NOVEMBER MEMBERSHIP MEETING

November is a month that MASWA does not hold a membership meeting because the 4th Thursday, the usual meeting date, is Thanksgiving.

December will be the annual Joint Public Policy meeting with SPASWA. It will be held:

Wednesday, December 15th
2:45-4:15pm
The Commons on Marice
1380 Marice Drive, Eagan

Senator Dave Durenberger will address:  "Why are we talking about Healthcare in America?"

Senator Durenberger served as the senior U.S. Senator from MN from 1978 to 1995.  During his time in the Senate, Senator Durenberger served as chairman of the Select Committee on Intelligence; chairman of the Health Subcommittee of the Senate Finance Committee and was catapulted into the leadership role in national health reform.  Senator Durenberger is currently a Senior Health Policy Fellow at the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis and chairs the National Institute of Health Policy (NIHP).
PRESIDENT'S MONTHLY NOTE

Hello fellow MASWA members!

As November falls upon us, it gives me a great opportunity to think about all the things for which I am thankful.  I am thankful to all who were associated with this year's Fall Aging Conference.  From the steering committee, to all the subcommittees, all of the sponsors and vendors, the speakers, and all who attended, all of you together made this conference one to remember.  Thank you all for sharing your time and talent with us.

I am thankful to the MASWA board and their committees.  You each take time out of your busy schedules monthly to share your vast resources in an effort to make MASWA the respected, vibrant organization it is today.  Thank you for your generosity and support.

I am thankful to all the MASWA members.  Your commitment to this organization shows that each and every one of you truly cares about the people you serve.  You take the time to attend the monthly meetings, further your education by listening to the varied speakers, and network with the other members in an effort to know all of the products and services available to serve the seniors you work with every day.  Thank you for your commitment to making your communities better places to live and work.

Wishing you all a bountiful, beautiful Thanksgiving!
