May 2010
A
Greetings!

Valerie Dwyer
Wow! We've had a starter taste of summer at last. But where did April go? It was wonderful weather for sowing seeds, in the garden and in business, and now we're beginning to see new growth. For anyone you know still finding business tough, encourage them to think about seeking out one or two successful entrepreneurs they admire and asking their input. Any decisions will still always be their own but a second (or third) opinion never hurt.  All 'winners' know how vital it is to know their direction, keep focused and remain determined whatever happens. Time out to revisit our Vision and reflect often flags up new and unexpected opportunities. It's a strategy that has shown results for many people I've worked with over the years through the 'ups and downs' of the economy.
We've asked about reducing the size of your newsletter but you know what? Everyone has said "Keep it all in - we'd rather you did because we come back to Winspiration(tm) again and again to check out the opportunities, there's always something for us".  So, we'll continue for a while longer searching for these news updates plus opportunities below so you may want to come back and revisit...
Your thoughts are always welcome, happy to help. Need a one to one into reviewing your life, business, developing your untapped potential? Want support to make 2010 your best year ever? Just email to discuss - click

Whatever you are doing - have a fantastic day, week and exceptional year !'  Until next time...

REPORTS - Women in the City - The Treasury tells City to gender balance to avoid group-think

Thanks to Avivah Wittenberg-Cox CEO 20-first.com

For the 10th year in a row, the Women in the City  report has decried the lack of women in the City. "Bankers and dealers may get paid big bonuses, but their attitudes towards women are no more advanced than a spotty teenage male's," concludes the Independent. While Financial Advisor magazine quotes Mel Kenny, a financial planner for London-based Radcliffe & Newlands acknowledging that "a number of studies show that women tend to be more level headed and make better financial decisions than men." Has that ever been more relevant? How many more decades will this report need to state the obvious?
