Inspirational speakers from City Hearts charity mesmerised us with their achievements in helping turn around women's lives while entrepreneurs shared their 'Top Tips in Business'- we networked, met businesses exhibiting their wonderful products and were entertained by exciting and uplifting singer Philippa Hanna. What a day! We all face challenges - what's significant is how we choose to deal with them. ATTITUDE is our No.1 tool for success. There's also no time like the present to change in your life, business, career, whatever you're dissatisfied with. Enjoy every day, especially this beautiful weather, but if business needs a boost - then don't let anything distract you from your purpose... get into shape right now. Mary Portas is one of the UK's foremost authorities on retail and brand communication, a journalist and television presenter. After college, Mary worked for Harrods where she was responsible for
window displays for three years before joining TopShop as
display manager where she was spotted by Burton Group chairman Sir Ralph Halpern.
Mary is credited with turning Harvey Nichols into the modern fashion powerhouse that it is. She created the Harvey Nichols show windows that became part of the guided tours of London and joined the company board before the age of 30. Angels Den teams up with First Funding to find a way round 'Credit Crunch'
New lending service for registered angels. Not all companies need equity finance. Thousands of established trading businesses are in difficulty because the UK banks have all but stopped lending.
