Greetings!
It's the last Friday of the month, so here I am again with another newsletter. This issue answers questions I've been asked recently and includes responses that have been sent to me. Much of this month's content has therefore been provided by you, my dear readers!

Q and A
Q. I've assumed that if Google lets me copy and paste images, and there's no signature across the face of it, that it is copyright free. Is that true? A. Unfortunately, your assumption is wrong. Google is not a stock image library and above each image it finds, you will see a message: 'Image may be subject to copyright'. The only copyright-free images I know of on Google are if you use advanced image search > labelled for commercial use. This article gives more background and there is more useful info here. For affordable copyright-free images, I use stock photo libraries such as iStockPhoto, BritStockPhoto and Clipart.com.
Feedback I strongly disagree with you on
the 'discount' article. If presented properly, a special offer will not
make a company look 'cheap' or make them look they are not doing well.
Why do Sky offer '£25 M&S voucher'? Because it works! Same with
all the discounted offers you can find every month from printing.com
etc. A discount / special offer should not cost a business anything,
and it secures new clients / repeat business at times when it is not so
busy or when there is surplus stock etc. We use special
offers heavily and I have to say that they work extremely well as
everyone is hunting for a bargain these days. Anyway - I think we need
to agree to disagree on this one.
Comment I don't disagree
(sorry about the double negative!). In the original article I did state
'the only time I do it [discounting] is if I get something in return
that I want'. So it's fine for, say a restaurant that's quiet on
Mondays to offer a free bottle of wine with a meal for two. But not if
they offer it on Fridays when they are already at capacity and would be
giving away something for nothing. I hope that helps clarify my views!
Feedback PDFs can be converted into Word docs then edited then re-PDFed. Such facilities are on the net, some are even free. Comment Thanks to Julian Williams, Abba Energy Ltd for this suggestion.

Wordy wisdom
Typewriter is the longest word that can be made using only the letters on one row of the keyboard (go, try it!) Stewardesses is the longest word typed with only the left hand. Lollipop is the longest word typed with the right hand. No word in the English language rhymes with month, orange, silver or purple. The words racecar, kayak and level are palindromes - the same whether they are read left to right or right to left. There are only four words in the English language which end in 'dous': tremendous, horrendous, stupendous and hazardous. There are two words in the English language that have all five vowels in order: abstemious and facetious. Dreamt is the only English word that ends in the letters 'mt'. This sentence uses every letter of the alphabet: The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog

On a Personal Note
As you can see from the latest testimonials on the left, February has been a month where lots of my lovely clients and contacts have said nice things about me. In fact, I've received far too many comments to fit, so I've saved some for next time.
With well over 100 testimonials already on my website and elsewhere, I would have appeared in thebestof top 100 most-loved businesses in the UK (if I'd entered).
Top tip: It all goes to show the power of testimonials in your marketing. Whatever someone else says about you is far more powerful than anything you can say yourself.
I'm off to polish my halo now!
