When Is It Good For Rain On Your Wedding Day?

If you bought your wedding ring at Bremer Jewelry you want it to rain

PRAY FOR RAIN

This has got to be one of the more ingenious promotions known to man.  Everyone gets upset if it rains on their wedding day, but if you know you are getting your wedding bands free (minus sales tax) then the rain is a little easier to swallow.

The promotion is of course paid for through an insurance plan much like other famous promotions tied to events like Jordan's Furniture tie in to the 2 Red Sox World Series wins in 2004 and 2007

Jordan's Pitches Another "Free" Furniture Promo

Sales went through the roof because of these promotions and of course any payout to the customer was insured.  For 2004 the Red Sox only had to win the World Series for everyone to get paid, in 2007 the insurance company changed the terms to a sweep.

Of course not many of us have the ability to tie into a professional sports franchise, but much like the "Pray for rain" promotion, there are creative ways to get some promotional play.

Perhaps tie in with a minor league team winning a championship.

Or an "unreachable" feat like Joe DiMaggio's 56 game hit streak or a perfect game by the local baseball team or maybe something tied into a date like April Fool's Day or Valentine's Day.

Example: Sign up for our remote receptionist, Pay as you go, service by X date and if a pitcher for team X  throws a no hitter ... or if it snows on opening day  or .....  your service is free for the year.

You could tie into a local charity event, like a bowl-a-thon or something where a point total is used.

Sign up for our service and if your company's team scores the most points - raises the most money during the local charity bowl-a-thon then your service is free for X months.

Now you are tying into the local charity event and branding yourself with them, which is a great 2-fer.

It takes a little creativity, a little faith, planning and of course insurance if you think the cost is going to be outside your pain threshold.
