Secret Sauce

What is your Secret Sauce?

When the public perception is that all (insert industry here) are the same, how can you possibly differentiate yourself from the others?

1 Burger joint used "special sauce" to great success.

Everybody sing  "2 all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun"

What did the other guys have - a mix of ketchup and mayo? Thousand Island Dressing?

What's special about that?

 bulbAll answering services

offer 24/7 "live" operator service (as opposed to what other kind of operator service ?) take messages,            have courteous and professional staff;  voicemail;  patching ; quick dispatch of emergency messages; Same Day Set Up; Ad Response; Order Taking; custom reports;  appointment setting;  use state of the art equipment and technology; etc etc etc. -

Simply look at the Yellow Page ads and the information on various websites they all seem to say the same thing.

When a prospect contacts an answering service they expect that you are able to provide all of the above services listed.

When you call an overnight delivery company you expect them to deliver your package overnight.  That is the minimum standard, which a short time ago was the "special sauce".  Now, special sauce is giving you the ability to see the signature of the person who signed for the package and to track your package on route, maybe even in-flight from your desk top and smart phone.

 bulbsHow are you different?

What service / solution are you providing for an individual or an entire industry that can't be duplicated?

What is your special sauce?

(Hint:  A good place to look may be in the reference letters and unsolicited compliments from your clients)
