Holiday Marketing 2.0
Ask Mark Answers this question
YES, YES,  & YES!!!

To quote a famous advertising slogan "That was easy"
It's a great thing to continue your marketing efforts during the holiday season if for only 1 reason.

No one else is doing it.

If no one else is doing it then your message is not going to be confused with other offers and services. You will have the opportunity to be top of mind going into the New Year.  We all know the New Year can bring changes. Changes at companies can mean that the efforts you put in for the past 11 months all go out the window if your contact is replaced or makes a lateral move.  A change at the top can also mean that you may be the first company to contact the new decision maker.
Whether your contact stays or an opportunity presents itself to introduce your company to a new contact, marketing during the holiday season is a great way to stand out from the crowd.
As I suggested last year, ornaments are still a great idea to send to clients as well as to send to prospects. Most cards will get tossed, but an ornament, especially one from a well known local charitable organization, will be saved for years.

Some other fun ideas that won't break the bank to help your message stand out in a crowd

Instant Snow:  Great to send to clients in warmer climates

Glove/Hand warmers: For clients in ski and snowboard country

A small bottle of suntan lotion: with a note saying "do not open til June" on the envelope.

Who could resist NOT opening a package with that instruction?

December is a great time to get a jump on January. Don't stop the momentum!
