Ask Mark Survey Questions Part 2
We want to thank you again for participating in this Survey. Here are more marketing tips for YOU and your team to review.
What can we extrapolate from this information?
The most successful forms of marketing are those that engage the prospect and call on them to act.
Agencies are having success using just about everything except mass media.
Agencies are diversifying their marketing efforts.
What will work best for you depends on the amount of time, money and resources you can devote to the efforts. Whichever tactics you decide to employ can return a higher response rate if there is a coordinated effort / plan linking them together.
For Example:
Have your Yellow Page ad with a specific landing page referenced for more information. This will allow you to better track your yellow pages ROI.
Direct Mail using a catchy or timely image, like a flag for 4th of July and then following up with (cold) calls where agents can reference the image in the mailing to help the prospect recall the mailing.Attend trade shows of specific organizations that you know some of your clients will also be attending. Have a white board where they can "sign in" so people walking by can see not just what companies you already provide service for but who in the company they may know and then call on for a reference. Tie in your Blog, your direct mail piece, your cold calling, etc to an annual event. Why not have a "White Sale" for President's day. Put together a Bracket of something during the NCAA's.Other ideas and annual themes: http://www.publicityinsider.com/prseasons.asp Our question about the oddest place a new client came from is a testament to follow up; follow up; follow up- We have all heard about how most sales people give up after the first 2 calls and the most successful are the ones that make 6-8 calls. Well according to the responses we received it might be good to never, ever give up. The "oddest" place new clients have come from were from mailings/ offers and even Yellow Page ads that were over 2 years old!! Prospects remain prospects for months and even years.
If I may take some liberty here and quote Jim Valvano "Don't give up, don't ever give up" And if you are stuck for an idea or need a little inspiration simply Ask Mark @ askmark@atsi.org. |
