Summer time means hot days - cold ice cream, baseball and SUMMER INTERNS!

Interns are a great resource for businesses.  They are young, eager to work and come at a very fair price.  They want to get some real life experience under their belt and build their resume as they prepare for their junior or senior year.

An intern can be more than someone who gets your filing done, keeps your Google calendar straight and picks up lunch and laundry etc.

An intern can be used to help with sales and marketing by doing all those things you wish you had the time for but can't seem to find the time with everything else going on.

An intern can do market research.

They can poll existing clients regarding their satisfaction and update them regarding new services and features.

They can research competition websites / prices and features.

They can review and make suggestions for how your website can be made more user friendly

They can give you a primer course for and put your company on facebook and/or myspace.

They can provide information about trends they may have insight to and you may be overlooking.

Intern programs are typically available through 2 and 4 year colleges.

You can also tap your own Alma Mater to see if there are excellent applicants available in your area.

If you have hired an intern in the past, please share the projects and results of your experience by sending an e-mail to askmark@atsi.org

Enjoy the weather and enjoy getting more done.
