How can you stand out in a crowded field of cards and gift baskets?
 

Send an ornament

  • An ornament is different and will be kept and used year after year after year.  The more years you send an ornament the more you and your company will be remembered.
    You may even start getting thank you cards for the ornaments you send.
    When was the last time you got a thank you from a client you sent a holiday card to?                                
  • Choosing an ornament:
    There should be a reason / theme behind the ornament you select.
    It could certainly be phone related, but after 5 or 6 years will they want to have 5 or 6 phones on their Christmas tree?
  • Many non-profits, hospitals, etc. sell ornaments as part of their fund raising efforts.
    Sending an ornament purchased from a local children's hospital for example can have multiple good effects.
    1.      You are supporting a local and worthwhile cause.
    2.      You won't have to worry about picking a "theme" for the ornament year after year  the hospital / charity will do that for you
    3.      You will begin to be linked to that charity so when a client hears or sees information about the charity they will think about you                                  

    4.      The charity may become a client.

    Lend a helping hand and gain exposure and maybe a new client.
     
    Non-profits are going to be struggling this year to keep their donation levels the same as last year.  As call centers we are in the unique position to have staff and facilities available to enhance and streamline the donation process.
     
    Look at your local newspaper.  Most have a "Secret Santa" or similar holiday program.  Reach out to them to offer an opportunity to provide a phone line for donations.  Reach out to these organizations and provide this service as an "in-kind" donation and receive some excellent PR.
