Spring is here and the warmer months are near. We aim to provide you with support and technical assistance so that you may provide a safe and fun environment for the children during the summer.

We have planned a number of fun events for adults and families. We look

We here at CCRR are so excited that our own Marcia Scheer was selected to be a New York State Association for the Education of Young Children (NYSAEYC) 2011 Champion for Children as Leader of the Year. This is considered a prestigious award given by our professional statewide organization and selected by peers.

New Law Prohibits Use of Pesticides on the Grounds of Child Care Centers and Schools. As of Nov. 14, 2010, schools, Head Start programs and child care centers are prohibited from using pesticides on playgrounds (this includes playground equipment), turf, and athletic or playing fields. of young children.
Protective Surfacing Under Outdoor Play Equipment: Family and group family child care regulations state: outdoor equipment such as swings, slides and climbing apparatus must be installed and used in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and instructions, be in good repair, and be placed in a safe location. Learn more.

rat11Kidsnett Child Care Wins!
CCRR kicked off the 2011 Roberta Klingher Memorial Read-a-Thon on April 4th at Kidsnett Child Care, a group family child care program owned by Darnett Davis. She was the lucky winner of a fully equipped library worth $2,000. Dr. Mary Jean Marsico, Rockland BOCES Superintendent, helped kick off the month long event by reading to the children. Learn more

Additional funding for Special Needs Services is provided by Family Support Services, Mental Health Services and the Office for People With Developmental Disabilities. CCRR is supported by Rockland Community College.
