ABOUT HAROLD GREGOR

gregor in studioHarold Gregor first gained national prominence in the early 1970's in the Photo-realism movement with his paintings of the sweeping horizon of the rural Midwest.

This Bloomington, IL, artist is also known for  unusual Flatscape paintings, combining an aerial perspective and unique color choices to suggest a Midwestern landscape.

In retirement Gregor began "trail" paintings -- colorful abstracts inspired by a local walking trail. He now paints in four modes: realist panoramas, colorful aerial Flatscapes, energetic abstract "trail" paintings, and his latest effort Vibrascapes.
