Simply the Best!

Once again our annual photo contest winners showcase the unique sights and scenes of the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor. This year's winners were selected from 445 entries submitted by 169 photographers. We think you'll agree that our winning images capture well the nationally significant history, beauty, and character of the Erie Canalway.

View winners in our web gallery, then go out and see for yourself. Nowhere else will you find the distinctive locks and low bridges of the New York State Canal System or discover towns and cities whose watery front doors still give way to historic Main Streets with one-of-a-kind shops and restaurants.

Congratulations to all of our contest winners and thank you to everyone who entered!

2011 Calendar Available December 1
Winning images will be featured in the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor 2011 Calendar, available later this fall at libraries throughout the National Heritage Corridor.
