Saturday & Sunday, August 21-22, 10 am to 6 pm

The Lois McClure is a full-scale replica of an 1862 sailing canal boat. These unique vessels were designed to sail from lake cities to canal ports using wind power and then to lower their masts and sails when traveling along canals.

This year's expedition is made possible by a partnership among the New York State Canal Corporation, Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor, Lake Champlain Maritime Museum, and Champlain Valley National Heritage Partnership, with additional funding support from voyage sponsors, including Cabot Creameries.
