Dear Clients and Friends,
 February is the national month of love. Share the love with your pets! Take them out window shopping. Go for a hike. Change up your daily walking routine. Bake them a special treat. (See recipe below) Sign up for a fun class such as nose work, agility or maybe even obedience. While you're sharing the love with your own pets, please remember that there are many animals in need of extra love and care. Volunteer some time at a local shelter to socialize and/or walk the resident dogs. Make a donation to Operation Blankets of Love. (See article below) Maybe even open up your home for a foster cat or dog. All the best for this burgeoning New Year! May it bring all the love in the world to you and yours!

Tuna or Salmon Brownies
Candy for Canines and Cats, too!
 Show your pets how much you love them this Valentine's Day! Try this recipe using either canned tuna or salmon for a healthy, protein packed snack. Dogs dig it! Kitties crave it! Two 6oz cans tuna OR One 14oz can salmon - do not drain
1 tbs garlic powder or minced garlic (optional)
2 eggs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
1/4 cup grated carrot (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Process tuna or salmon and eggs in a food processor or blender until combined. Pour fish and egg mixture into a bowl. Add flour and mix to a brownie-like consistency. Stir in grated cheese and carrot until well incorporated. Spread mixture into a greased 9x9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-minutes. The brownies are done when they have a putty-like texture and the edges pull away from the sides of the pan. Cool brownies completely in pan before cutting into squares appropriate to the size of your furry friend. Watch your pets gobble them up!
Brownie squares can also be frozen for a longer lasting treat!
