In this installment of SoM e-news, we want to share with you the resounding success of this year's Ministry Conference held at the Dallas Convention Center on Oct. 23 - 24, 2009. With over 4600 attendees, the conference marked a milestone for the University of Dallas as the largest single event in its 53 year history.

Open to the general public, the conference began Friday, Oct. 23, with a keynote address "Teaching the Faith: Challenges and Opportunities", delivered by the Most Reverend Donald W. Wuerl, S.T.D., Archbishop of Washington and renowned Catholic educator.

The conference offered 60 exhibitors and 56 speakers, including John Allen Jr. CNN Senior Vatican correspondent, musical entertainment by many local performers and a Friday evening concert by John Michael Talbot.

The great success of the Ministry Conference was due to the team effort, support and dedicated planning of many. To each of you our sincere thanks.

We're now looking forward to the Landregan Lecture next month. We all hope to see you there.

In Christ,

Dean
