Diocesan Prayers


For the month of February please pray for those who serve on the Diocesan Council, the Trustees, the Standing Committee, the Chancellors and for the Diocesan treasurer. Please pray for the Rt. Rev. James L. Jelinek upon his retirement after over 16 years as diocesan bishop and for Bishop-elect Brian Prior and his ordination and consecration as the IX Bishop of Minnesota on February 13.

The Rev. Harold Eagle Bull was chosen to serve on the visioning team for developing the new version of In the Spirit of the Circle, a Christian education curriculum resource created by Native Americans. The original resource was produced in 1989.

Art exhibition and sale for Haiti Relief
On February 5, from 2-8 pm, there will be an art exhibition and sale at St. James on the Parkway, Minneapolis. All proceeds will go to Partners in Health and Episcopal Relief and Development in order to benefit Haiti relief efforts. Come support a great cause and take advantage of this opportunity to see, learn about, and buy a wide range of items from around the world.

Episcopal Youth Music Festival

Join in the ancient Anglican liturgy of Evensong, as sung by a massed choir of nearly 100 young choristers from around the diocese. This Saturday, February 6, at 4:30, at St. Mark's Cathedral, Minneapolis, Canon Musician Raymond Johnston will conduct the annual Episcopal Youth Music Festival. Music by Sumsion, Archer, Phillips, and more. Chorister Awards will be presented. Come hear and support the future of choral music in Minnesota!
