Consecration of the IX Bishop of Minnesota

God willing and the people consenting,the Reverend Brian N. Prior will be Ordained and Consecrated IX Bishop of Minnesota on February 13, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Minneapolis Convention Center (1301 Second Avenue South, Minneapolis). All are encouraged to participate in this joyous occasion. A reception will follow. Clergy should vest in red; Bishops, cope and miter. Logistical details
A block of rooms has been secured for the weekend of Consecration at the Hilton in downtown Minneapolis. Details are on the Consecration website, www.ixbishopconsecration.com.

Transportation opportunities
St. Paul's, Duluth, is sponsoring a motor coach bus to the Consecration. The bus will depart from St. Paul's at 7:00 a.m. on Feb. 13th and return around 5:30 p.m. Cost is $22 per seat (non-refundable) due by noon on February 5.  Please make checks payable to "St. Paul's Church" and send them to: Secretary, St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1710 E. Episcopal Relief & Development is pleased to announce the publication of the 2010 Lenten Meditations booklet. The devotional features daily readings with the theme "Healing ourselves and a hurting world," and can be ordered from Episcopal Books and Resources (EBaR) by visiting www.er-d.org/Lent or by calling 1-800-903-5544. Orders should be placed by Monday, February 8 to ensure delivery by Ash Wednesday, February 17.

Videos of the bishop-elect available by next Monday
Two videos featuring bishop-elect Brian N. Prior will be available by Monday, January 18 for viewing via the diocesan website. The first video is roughly 12 minutes and is a brief profile of Rev. Prior and his ministry over the years. The second is a continuation of the first with a focus on a more topical conversation. These are perfect for viewing and discussing in adult forums, youth groups, and other Christian education formats. The videos will also be available on DVD by request. Joint Religious Legislative Coalition (JRLC) Day on the Hill 2010
Thursday, March 25 is the Day on the Hill. The theme for 2010 is "Justice We Pursue!" (Deut. 16:18-20). The event will start out at the Rivercentre and continue on to the Capitol. Tour Washington DC and the National Cathedral
On September 30 - October 3, Rev. Richard Collman and his wife Katherine will host a tour of Washington DC with emphasis on our National Cathedral, including a Saturday pilgrimage/tour and Sunday Eucharist.
