Bishop Search
Eight candidates invited to continue in process
Your Search Committee for the IX Bishop of Minnesota met at St. David's Church in Minnetonka on Saturday, May 2.  12 candidates had been invited to participate in telephone interviews during the month of April.  Three teams of committee members conducted those interviews and reported back to the whole committee.  Afterwards, it was decided to invite 8 candidates to continue in our mutual discernment process.  The next step is to check references and to visit to each of the candidates at her or his current ministry location.  These are impressive candidates who represent the same diversity of our initial pool in terms of gender, geography, etc.  Please continue to pray for these individuals as we seek the next bishop who will shepherd the Diocese of Minnesota.

Mission Convocation

Convocation wrap-up
Thank you to everyone who participated in Saturday's Mission Convocation. More than 200 Episcopalians gathered for worship, discernment, and conversation on mission in the Episcopal Diocese of Minnesota. All of the notes and evaluations from Saturday will be prepared and posted online as soon as possible. Read Bishop Jelinek's opening remarks and afternoon reflections.

One clear outcome from Convocation is the recognition that we have a lot to say about mission and the work of the Mission Strategy Network. Please remember that it's not too late for feedback. Submit your comments to MSN through a form on their website. Mission Strategy Network will meet at the end of the month to consider next steps.

Video available online
Didn't make it to Convocation - or want to listen to parts of it again? The videos are available online at the diocesan website or on the MSN site. Keep in mind as you watch that the feedback form on the MSN site will allow you to add your voice to the conversation.
