Bishop Search Update
|
| Committee continues discernment submitted by the Rev. Neil Willard Your Search Committee for the IX Bishop of Minnesota
met from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, at St.
John's Church
in St. Cloud. Prior
to that meeting, members of the committee had reviewed audio recordings of
sermons and answers to a second set of three essay questions. These materials
were submitted by the 22 candidates who were invited to participate in the
second step of our mutual discernment process. The morning began with worship
led by the Rev. Debbie Brown, who is the newly appointed chaplain to the search
committee. Most of the day was spent evaluating candidates in light of
everything they have submitted thus far. Then a presentation was made about
the telephone interviews that will comprise the next stage of the search. After a review of previous interview training, the meeting closed with worship
led by the chaplain. Additional details will be included in next week's
update.
