submitted by Susan Barksdale
Since Diocesan Convention, team members of the Mission Strategy Network (MSN) have continued their hard work behind the scenes to help with implementation of the plan that was affirmed in 2007. An example is a December 13 meeting at St. Mark's Cathedral that brought together a group that included MSN co-chairs Jim Huber and Daniel Pearson; consultant Craig Van Gelder; primary team leaders Mariann Budde, Doug Maust, Rex McKee, and Beth Royalty; associate project manager Mariellen Jacobson; Web specialist Kevin Bullock; and diocesan liaison Karen Olson. Bishop Search Report

Diocesan Profile Website Launched
submitted by the Rev. Neil Willard
As the people of God in the Diocese of Minnesota, we are letting our light shine far and wide in the search for our next bishop through our newly launched diocesan profile website, www.mnbishopsearch.org. Please explore this unique and exciting presentation, which tells the story of our life together in Christ. Share it with friends throughout the Episcopal Church
and invite them to help us in our process of discernment. This is the time to seek out gifted priests who would be good candidates for bishop and encourage them to apply directly via this website. Applications from potential candidates will be accepted from now through February 18.

Procedures for Electing Delegates to 152nd Diocesan Convention Outlined
While the election of delegates to Convention is the same every year, a clear understanding of the canonical requirements and compliance with the rules regarding their election is particularly heightened in anticipation of a bishop election. Documents clearly outlining the procedures for electing lay delegates to Diocesan Convention are now available on the diocesan website. Also available is a lay delegate certification form, which can be completed and returned as soon as delegates are elected.

St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Duluth, Completes st. andrew'sRenovation
On time and (nearly) on budget, St. Andrew's by the Lake, Duluth, recentlycelebrated their first Eucharist in their newly remodeled building. About a year and a half after the discovery of a serious structural defect in the church mission hall, the congregation has now upgraded its building to address the problem using environmentally-friendly construction, including reclaimed wood, cellulose insulation, carpet with post-industrial content in its fiber, natural cork flooring finished with a water-based acrylic, and paints and finishes low in volatile organic compounds.
