Wire-In Engine Management for Rotaries
|
Rotary owners and their cars are unique, as is this new G4 RX ECU.
No more generalities - this ECU is specially developed for Rotary engines.
A Rotary looks different, it sounds different and it performs differently - so here's a different ECU just for the Rotary engine!
|
Why did we make this RX ECU?
Link's RX7 on our dyno | |
The G4 RX is the result of feedback from our tuners, dealers, and you, our customers. This is what we heard:
- Pre mix sucks
- The G4 RX ECU can control the factory oil injection pump
- Need a big MAP sensor
- A 4 bar MAP sensor for mapping to 3 bar of boost is standard on the G4 RX
- Want to be able to run the standard injectors or Bosch / Siemens aftermarket
- Peak and Hold, 4 Amp injector drivers lets you choose any injector - factory or after-market
- Its got to look good when installed
- Bolt the supplied mounting bracket into a highly visible location then clip the G4 RX in, no bolts etc. will show
- Tough black enclosure with stunning graphics
- I won't use cheap connectors
- The G4 RX has automotive grade, waterproof AMP connectors
- The RX loom is constructed from automotive grade, high temperature, compact insulation wiring
- E-throttle option for new project builds
- Of course, add the E-Throttle module
- I need to extract power down to the last kilowatt!
- Done, if you are serious this ECU is just what tuners ordered
- Need 2 tunes at the flick of a switch, one for street, one for race fuel
- Just add the switch and tune on the dyno
- Smart limiting so that we can hold on the line without damage
- We believe that no other ECU can compare with our limiting features
- I don't want a cut down ECU. I want it all
- The G4 RX is fully featured
- Why should I put up with the hesitation when the injectors stage, primary to secondary?
- You shouldn't and you won't with Link G4 ECUs
The G4 RX delivers performance that rivals any engine management system on the market. This RX ECU is more than capable of running sequential injection and ignition.
The G4 RX offers all of the advanced G4 tuning features at an extremely competitive price. |

G4 RX Winner from the launch
|
Congratulations to Marcus Gibson for winning the G4 RX ECU
To enter this competition (held at the G4 RX product launch in Auckland in July), entrants had to write a story - it could be funny, serious, a sob story, a whinge or a whine - whatever they wanted but they had to say why Link should give them our new G4 RX computer. This is the winner's story:
The R100 is a work in progress | Hi team Link
My name is Marcus. I had no idea that piggy backing the car launch would be the release of your new ECU and for it to be RX specific is terrific news for the rotary community here in NZ especially as most resort to that OZZY brand something Wreck, the name escapes me ( reaches for the LT10s to drop in the bin). I'm certain you will have great success with brands like Pac and of course Daynom showcasing your Kiwi made product.
During the presentation one sentence really got me going. As you would probably guess it has something to do with win and G4 RX.
My partner Michelle and I are currently building a track day special and think the G4 would look great on the dry carbon panel in the passenger foot well. The car in question is a 69 R100, we bought it as rolling body with no useful parts on it. Over the past 18 months we have chipped away at it in the home garage.
While the R100 isn't known to be the best base to start a track car build from its a car I've loved from the age of thirteen and having already decided to build a track car before we found the R1, well the two dreams combined. So with a grinder in one hand and a blue print from my 8 year old self (kidding).
In the front end we binned the standard stuff as it was weak to say the least, Rose jointed lower arms to hold S15 knuckles bolted to fabricated Chrome molly struts filled with Koni 8611 double adjustables topped off with camber plates and for caster a piece of cage tubing welded between the chassis rails attaches caster rods to the knuckles. Custom front cross member is also under construction that will house the Suzuki Swift rack and mid mount the 12a Turbo........
