Greetings!

April has been a busy month for TBB.  Gap Year has been in the news several times and we've received applications from talented and engaged students almost every day for the past two weeks!  Training is going well for the Cleveland race and pledges continue to come in supporting the runners and TBB scholarship fund.  All signs point to good things to come...

As a recent immigrant to the United States, for the last two years I have been exposed to unfamiliar cultures and ideologies. As a recent immigrant from a developing country, I have opened my eyes to the sad economic, political, and social reality of many people, including those living in my homeland. In a way, it has been a brutal awakening; despite-or probably due to-living within a nation affected by corruption, poverty, and discrimination, I had never truly grasped the scope of these problems.  Read More

Girls at Cleveland MarathonWith only 23 days left until the Cleveland Marathon, Thinking Beyond Borders is making some serious progress towards the goal of raising one student scholarship.  Thanks to the roughly 30 runners who have already joined the TBB Marathon Team, we have raised over $6,000 and are just getting warmed up.  Read More



Robin with RVCS StudentsTBB is Hiring: Educator - International Program Staff

The "Educator -- International Program Staff" position is an individual who serves as part of a three person teaching team traveling with the student group for eight months. Together, these educators maintain the safety and health of each student, ensure the daily travel and program logistics are properly coordinated, and implement the service learning curriculum that follows the group throughout the experience.
