Greetings!
Happy New Year! 2007 was a big year for TBB -- from incorporation, to gaining nonprofit status, to receiving our first applicants. Of course, all this couldn't have been accomplished without such wonderful support from this community -- friends who came out to support us at events, dedicated volunteers, generous donors, and professionals and individuals who have offered expertise, advice, and encouragement. Thank you all!
And a big thanks to Skadden Arps and Nick Danella for all their pro-bono legal assistance. With their help the nonprofit application process was much less intimidating than all the rumors made it out to be!
2008 promises to be even more exciting...

Tune Into TBB on YouTube
YouTube has recently provided TBB with it's own non-profit channel! This allows TBB staff and students to share a selection of original videos with teachers and students throughout the world and our growing TBB community. We can also highlight other relevant YouTube videos on our channel, so let us know if you have a video you'd like us to include. You can even Subscribe to our channel to be notified whenever we post new videos. Stay tuned: TBB YouTube.

Cleveland Marathon: Run with TBB!
TBB is running in the Cleveland Marathon May 18th to raise money for
our Scholarship Fund -- and we'd like you to join us! There
is also a Half Marathon and 10K. When we're not running we'll be
enjoying a Captains' baseball game and BBQ.
We believe that the next generation of leaders will
come from a variety of ethnicities, socioeconomic backgrounds, and
citizenships, and we strive to provide this educational experience for
everyone.
Every penny you raise will be used to support students in need. Please help by participating in this event.

Bolivian Unrest Alters TBB Itinerary
If you read the international section of the New York Times carefully, you might have noticed a few articles beginning in mid-December highlighting the recent unrest in Bolivia. While international media coverage of Bolivian politics is rare, social and political unrest in Bolivia is not. Chris, Sandy and I watched these recent events closely and have decided due to safety concerns to remove Bolivia from the itinerary and replace it with Ecuador. Read More

| You can read more about our experiences in Ecuador on our Travel Blog. Also, there are already a few videos up on our YouTube channel for you to check out! And I have to point out, Auld Lang Syne (as sung by some rock stars from the Chinese minority Lisu) is my personal favorite.
My New Years resolution-- Yes, I am going to learn to run!
Best wishes for you and your family in the New Year!
Sincerely,
Sandy Pendoley
