SONOS Wireless Music ~ Brilliant!
|
All from the palm of your hand | I'm sorry, it's all my fault!
The reason I haven't sent out a newsletter full of new CD reviews lately is a dirty little secret I'm about to let out of the bag ... I've been listening to Internet Radio at the store for the last several weeks.
Oh, I still play CDs for customers when they ask to hear a particular artist, or to help them find a certain type of music, but with the lovely SONOS package I can hear over 100,000 radio and music stations from around the entire globe, I've been a bit pre-occupied.
I still spend most of the time listening to Canadian artists because my hands-down favourite station is CBC's Canadian Songwriters Channel. It's like having thousands of Canadian CDs to listen to. Oh wait ... I DO have thousands of Canadian CDs to listen to! Okay it's like having a personal DJ select and play an endless variety of Canadian songwriters all day long.
With SONOS I can change stations, raise or lower the volume or even select my own music collection with the easy to use remote or my own computer desk top. And still get my work done.
I've also heard lots of new Canadian music that I might not have discovered on my own, so our collection of CDs is still growing at an alarming rate. I've listed some of the new releases in stock. Remember to ask about ordering anything you hear that we don't have, if an artist has distribution I'll gladly order it in.
SONOS Wireless Music Systems {from $399+} are playing at Music right now. From one room to an entire home let us get you up & running today! |

Totem have launched an amazing array of four new high gloss finishes on select models. The new Mites in Fire Engine Red {called Fire by Totem} didn't last long at Music but more are on their way. Piano black Arros {called Dusk by Totem} are on display today.
Sonos have added a black version of their popular S5 one room solution piece & new software has allowed the use of two of them designated right & left. Same software upgrade took our 35,000 Internet Radio Stations to a mind-numbing 100,000 stations. Right now as I write I'm listening to traditional street music in New Orleans on one of my fav's WWOZ.
Paradigm have launched a new entry level speaker in their Monitor Series. The Micro Monitor sells for a pleasant $139 each. Put a pair with Teac's Stereo Receiver & an iPod cable & you've got a complete system for a very reasonable $499.
Finally it is Rosé Season big time & I've been doing my best to support all those winemakers & bar owners who understand what a fantastic summer drink this is {please don't confuse with horrid 'Zinfandel Blush' which one of my favourite servers aptly described as 'Stripper Wine}'.
Personal fav's this year are Cave Spring's light, crisp Rosé, Henry of Pelham's more substantial Sibling Rivalry & La Vieille Ferme's Rosé that falls nicely in the middle. Get 'em while the gettin's good & here's to a Rosé Summer. Cheers Neil
