Open House and Giving Spirits Announcement

We've moved to 1701 South 17th Street, Suite 1A
"Everything changes; nothing remains without change." These ancient words of the Buddha continue to ring true almost 2,500 years after they were spoken.

Change has also come to the Lincoln Arts Council. We've relocated to a new facility! You can now find us at 1701 South 17th Street, suite 1A. In late 2011 we received a unique opportunity to move to a new space by the Sower's Club of Lincoln. This new space will allow the LAC to give the green light to projects that have been on the back burner.
Map to new office

To celebrate, we're inviting everyone to join us at our new office on Thursday, January 26th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. for an open house. There will be something spirited, savory and sweet, plus lots of great conversation! No R.S.V.P. needed, just drop by.

Hope to see you there!

Giving Spirits Thursday, January 19, 5 to 8 at Cliff's Lounge

Cliff's Lounge is hosting the Giving Spirits outing on the evening of January 19. We are pleased to announce Archrival as the corporate sponsor for this event!

Giving Spirits is the brainchild of Lori Armiger, who found a great way to mix her passion for philanthropy with a fun evening out with friends. On the third Thursday of each month from 5-8pm, Giving Spirits partners a local establishment with a local organization to raise funds for their cause. Your $10 cover gets you one complimentary drink, and 100% of the proceeds go to the beneficiary.

Giving Spirits has recently raised funds for several local charities, including the Matt Talbot Kitchen and Outreach program, the Food Bank of Lincoln's BackPack Program, and the Nebraska chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The January 2012 event will benefit the Lincoln Arts Council's Artist Residency program, which places artists in Lincoln-area schools to provide exceptional arts education experiences.

So make a note in your calendar for January 19 at Cliff's Lounge (that's 1323 O Street) from 5 to 8 pm; bring along a friend or two (or five) and mix philanthropy with fun.
