You helped ...."Reach for the Stars"
Thank you to all of our Lincoln Arts Council supporters that recognized the importance of our AmeriCorps staff. Because of your generosity we are able to supplement the underwriting of this significant community service for nonprofits. Mollie and Emily are two wonderful examples of sincere, talented, hard working gals that add value to many of our LAC projects. Your support helps our AmeriCorps staff to fulfill their mission of community service, while assisting the LAC with tasks we couldn't do without them. This month Mollie and Emily are managing two fantastic artists in residence programs in visual arts and dance at Huntington and Riley Elementary schools. Their efforts expose underserved youth to the beauty and kinetic experience of the arts. Thank you again for being part of the solution and helping us "Reach for the Stars."

" In order to do difficult things easily, you must first learn to do simple things perfectly."

And Now, Your Moment of Artistic Zen.
We here at the Lincoln Arts Council love the irrepressible creativity of children and the art they create, and wanted to share this clip sent to us, made by Cai (age 5) and the pottery club at Southbank International School, Hampstead in London, U.K. It is their expression of hope for peace.
