A New Year's Wish....
"The life and essence of art-whether it is painting, music or dance-lies in expressing a wellspring of emotion, the universal realm of the human spirit. It is the melding of the individual and the universal. That is why great art reaches out beyond ethnic and national barriers to move people the world over." D. Ikeda - International Committee of Artists for Peace. For 42 years the Lincoln Arts Council has prided itself on promoting the arts, advocating for the arts, facilitating public art and much more. We have expanded our services through the generosity of individuals, foundations and corporate support. We sincerely appreciate your collective efforts to ensure the health and well being of our wonderful city and arts community. The Lincoln Arts Council staff and board wish you all a healthy, prosperous 2011. We trust that the arts will remain an undeniable joy in your lives and you will continue to support them in whatever manner you can.
