Do you wake up at night in a cold sweat,
wondering where you'll get your next art fix?
                                                     Does pottery make you tremble?
logoblack               Do oil paints make you drool?
Does live music make you boogie down?
                ART FIEND!
                   You are not alone.
There is a place for people like us.

At the Lincoln Arts Council, we're not ashamed of our addiction to the arts!  We are indeed, "art fiends".  We are looking for fellow art lovers to join our "Art Fiend Support Group" by volunteering at the 2009 Lincoln Arts Festival, on September 26th and 27th at SouthPointe Pavilions.
Get carried away!
Our volunteers...er...art fiends,
make all the difference!

Without you, the Lincoln Arts Festival could not be a success! Last year, we were fortunate to have over 60 people willing to donate their time and energy to assisting with the Lincoln Arts Festival.  This is a fun way to get involved and support a fantastic arts event in Lincoln.  We are looking for energetic, dedicated "art fiends" to act as local ambassadors for Lincoln!  Be submersed in the art you crave!  Embrace your inner "art fiend"! You can start by responding to this email or clicking on this handy link.

Art Fiend Q & A
Q:  So, how much of my time do you really want?
A:  Two consecutive hours, filled with artsy goodness...more if you want, fiend!

Q:  What's in it for me (besides a delicious art fix, which is btw, totally enough...)?
A:  Fun, friendship, and a fabulous t-shirt (brilliantly designed by artist Dave
Christiansen).  In addition, you will proudly assume the title of "Art Fiend"
and be invited to our official " Art Fiend Support Group" rally on Tuesday,
September 22nd.  Ever wondered what they did at those meetings?  Here's
your big chance, but with PRIZES!!!  And we all know "art fiends" love swag...
this year, one of our lucky "fiends" will walk away with $25 in art bucks!

Q:  Sounds pretty good...but can I see this t-shirt in advance?
A:   Um, sure.  By all means.  Take a peek:

Q:  Woohoo!  That shirt rocks!  How do I sign up?
A:  By responding to this email or clicking on this handy link.

TO BE OR NOT TO BE...AN ART FIEND...
hamlet Poor old Hamlet had a lot on his plate.  We know
you do, too.  The gift of time is generous, and we so
appreciate your willingness to consider taking the plunge and becoming a full-fledged "art fiend" by
volunteering at the 2009 Lincoln Arts Festival.  This is an event we really look forward to at the Lincoln Arts Council because it gives Lincoln the chance to stand out as an arts savvy community.  Also, it's amazing to have the opportunity to spend an entire weekend surrounded by spectacular works of art and the people who love it.  The Lincoln Arts Festival brings a sense of enhancement to our local culture and exposes fine and performing arts to the community at large.  If you have the time and the passion, we have a place for you.  Thank you, friends and fiends, for stepping up to the plate!  Let us leave you with the Official Art Fiend Pledge.

Official Art Fiend Pledge

I am an art fiend,
of this I am sure and proud.
I know that the arts enhance life and the world around us.
I also like free t-shirts.
Art fiends unite with pride,
freely swarming the 2009 Lincoln Arts Festival,
spreading the joy,
promoting the arts.
GO, ARTS FIENDS!
