Antelope Valley Public Art Project Panel Discussion
As part of Lincoln's flood control, transportation and community revitalization project, Lincoln Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce Art 4 Lincoln, a public plan for the Antelope Valley Community Art Wall and Trago Park. As part of Antelope Valley's development, this ambitious plan will enhance and enliven the experience of cyclists, outdoor enthusiasts, and the public through a variety of projects developed by community collaborators. The Lincoln Parks Foundation has contracted with the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts to manage the project and will facilitate this community-wide partnership by working with schools, community groups, artists and architects from Lincoln and Nebraska to create artwork that is engaging, educational, visually stimulating and unique. To initiate this project all members of the public are invited to a special panel discussion on Saturday, April 5th, at 10:00 a.m. The forum takes place at the Lincoln Community Foundation, 215 Centennial Mall, Suite 100, 5th Floor Conference Room, in Lincoln. This event is free and everyone is encouraged to attend and discuss the valuable impact public art has on communities. Click here for more...
