To this end, the Finance Committee, under the leadership of committee chair Vickie Huff, has already had a preliminary organizational meeting to set out its work for the remainder of this year. A to Z Printing presents portraits by studio quilt artist Lora Rocke.
"Snapfolio" is a collection of fiber portraits inspired by the pages of
old photo albums. Rocke uses conventional machine quilting and appliqué techniques but adds to the depth and interest of her subjects through the addition of paint, stain, stencils and dyes... coaxing the fiber images to life.
The exhibition, including new fiber works that use a variety of materials, is Rocke's first solo exhibition in this gallery space. The opening will be held Thursday, March 6th from 5-7pm.
