News from Brookside Contracting
Greetings!

Believe it or not, March 20th is the first day of Spring.  What a tease the weather was this past weekend!  Just when mother nature gives us a glimmer of hope for warmer weather ahead of us, she punishes us with MORE SNOW!  I guess we'll just have to be patient.  Anyway, as we come out of hibernation this Spring, take a moment to walk around the outside of your house to see how it survived the Winter.  Things to look for include:

ced
Roof

Do a visual inspection from the ground (binoculars help) and look for cracked, torn, curled, or missing shingles. Look for rust, corrosion, or damage to all metal flashing.
ced
Siding & Paint

Check for loose or damaged sections, open seams or joints, and visible mold or stains.
Exterior paint that is cracking, peeling, blistering, or spotting means water infiltration.  The moisture problem must be corrected before repainting.

Gutters & Downspouts

If you see peeling paint, rotted fascia, warped siding or a moldy crawl space, it could originate from the gutters and spouts
