| 10 to-dos for 2010

Give your face a lift with the right haircut.
It's easy to end up in a hair rut, which is why no makeover's complete
without a great hairstyle. So take the time to find the one that's right for you, and enjoy the transformation
that can take place when your hair is styled in a new way or the color's
enhanced by a new treatment. (You may need to bid a fond farewell to your current stylist and salon and find a new one;if you haven't updated your hairstyle in the past two years, you're due for a change!)
Get your eyebrows professionally shaped. You might be surprised just
how much this simple service will add polish to your look. It should be a regular part of your
grooming regimen.
Make your skin a priority. Do a little research to find out if you're using the best products for your skin type. Get referrals from
people you know and try an esthetician or dermatologist. New
products are always coming on the market that make it easy to nourish your skin!
Take shoes in to be repaired, polished and revitalized. Do you have heels in your closet that just need a simple tip replacement? Or shoes with scuff marks that need a little buffing? It only costs a few bucks to have shoes that look brand new, so get them fixed and step into 2010 with confidence.
Invest in closet tools that keep your clothes in their best shape. Consider buying a sweater pill defuzzer or a Snag Nab-It tool to easily repair snags in wovens or knits. Wire hangers damage clothes by not giving the garment proper support, so look for slim non-slip hangers. You'll enjoy having a closet filled with just one type of hanger!
Find back-up for your hardest-working pieces. What's your crucial go-to item, the one you'd be totally lost without? A white shirt, black pant, or a perfect pair of jeans? That most-important piece should be the most flattering, best-fitting and most backed-up item in your closet. It may be time to do some shopping!
Plan ahead. Do you have some special events coming up -- a series of business trips, a warm-weather vacation or a big reunion? There's no advantage to waiting until the last minute to take stock and fill in the gaps. Assess what you've got now and promise yourself you'll buy what you need to look and feel great.
Find an "I Love It" item. Spruce up your wardrobe with something you'll love wearing every time you put it on, like this gorgeous Botkier tote (shown above). You deserve it! Whether it's a necklace, a pair of shoes, or a great handbag, a really special piece will make you feel put-together, stylish and fabulous no matter what else you're wearing.
Give your underwear drawer an overhaul. Get rid of tattered, torn undies or briefs and freshen up what you wear under your clothes. Go for an annual bra fitting to be sure you're getting the right lift and support. When you're wearing the correct bra size, your blouses and shirts will look their best.
Make your image a priority. Right or wrong, we're all quick to judge someone based on first impressions. What impression do YOU make? Make it the best! I can help you meet your goals in 2010, so call me and get your style and wardrobe appointments on the books.
