Learn how to identify and use federal grants to fund technology development. The Small Business Innovation and Research (SBIR) grant program awards more than $2 billion in development grants each year. Sustainable Ecosystems Joins PSBA to Develop Tech Platform
A new PSBA tenant is merging world-wide environmental problem solving with the world wide web. Sustainable Ecosystems Institute has been accepted as a PSBA tenant. It is forming a for-profit arm that will bring current web tools to the business of linking scientists around the world to work on environmental problems. While SEI has a 14-year history as a scientific research institute, this new for-profit venture qualified it for acceptance as a technology start-up effort. SEI's most visible current project is its selection to help resolve the latest Northwest spotted owl conflict. Read more about SEI.
Exit Games Graduates
Exit Games, developer of  leading-edge multiplayer mobile and online game capabilities, graduated from the PSBA in February. It had spent only one year at the PSBA before reaching key development milestones.

Exit Games logoThe company's main product is Neutron, which connects game and application users around the globe, regardless of mobile carrier or access technology. The product has received rave reviews from companys such as Intel.

Exit Games is headed by Tom Sperry, as its U.S. President. It was founded in Germany in 2003, set up a San Francisco office in 2005 and established Portland operations in 2007 at the PSBA. It has now moved the majority of its U.S. operations to Portland. Read more about Exit Games.
