2013-14 School Attendance Boundary Process Underway
| The process for adjusting school attendance boundaries for the 2013-2014 school year is underway. The opening of Lindsey Elementary School in far northwest Allen and capacity issues at other campuses led the Board of Trustees to ask for a proposal to adjust current boundaries for next year. Following the initial Board review in October, public hearings to present the proposal(s) are tentatively set for October 30 and November 6. Maps will also be posted on the Allen ISD website prior to the meetings once they are available. The Board is expected to review public input and get updates at the October 22, November 26 and December 17 regular board meetings and make a final decision in January. Changes would not go into effect until the next school year.

Check The E-Bulletin Board For Allen Community Events
|
Allen ISD's Community Bulletin Board, "Allen on the Go," publicizes activities for local non-profit groups and organizations while saving them - and the district - time and money. The initiative allows these groups to post information on programs, fundraisers, classes and other activities on an Allen ISD-hosted Web page rather than having to print hundreds of fliers.
Allen ISD posts fliers from non-profit groups on the Community Bulletin Board at www.allenisd.org/communityboard. The service is free to local non-profit organizations.
