Allen Fans Are Ready For Some Football

Allen football fans demonstrated their enthusiasm for the Allen Eagles and their new stadium last month. A total of 8,252 season tickets were sold compared to 2,500 in the old stadium. The demand was so high that a majority of the home side of the stadium will be reserved seats for the 2012-13 season. All fans who entered the drawing for tickets were able to obtain tickets with only 183 tickets remaining. Those tickets will be sold on August 7 starting at 9 a.m. at the Athletic Office.

That still leaves approximately 5,000 general admission tickets for home games.  Those tickets will be sold starting the week of each game at the Athletic Center or at the gate on the day of the game.

Community Pep Rally Set For
August 23
At Allen Eagle Stadium
A community pep rally to kick off the new football stadium and season will be held on Thursday August 23 starting at 7:30 p.m. The program will include performances by Allen High School band, color guard, drill team and cheerleader groups. The state champion wrestling and girls golf teams will also be recognized along with the fall sports teams.

The gates will be opened starting at 6:30 p.m. to give fans an opportunity to walk through the stadium before the event. No tickets or reserved seating will be needed for this pep rally event.

The inductees will be honored through a permanent display outside of the main entrance of the new Eagle Stadium.

Check The E-Bulletin Board For Allen Community Events

Allen ISD's Community Bulletin Board, "Allen on the Go," publicizes activities for local non-profit groups and organizations while saving them - and the district - time and money. The initiative allows these groups to post information on programs, fundraisers, classes and other activities on an Allen ISD-hosted Web page rather than having to print hundreds of fliers.

Allen ISD posts fliers from non-profit groups on the Community Bulletin Board at www.allenisd.org/communityboard. The service is free to local non-profit organizations.
