'Just.Good.Food' Looks for Congregations with Gardens

The upper Midwest is an abundant source of food, but oftentimes the abundance overshadows the poverty and hunger that exist in this land of bounty. Synods of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) across the upper Midwest are developing a common mission initiative called "Just.Good.Food." that will address the issue of hunger. The initiative will help individual congregations collaborate with local organizations by growing and distributing food to those who do not have enough. Sarah Moore-Nokes, associate executive presbyter of Winnebago Presbytery, is heading up the project and searchiing for congregations to help pilot the effort. Dr. Laura Reason, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Highland, Ind. will lead participants through the sacred seasons of the luturgical year. Dr. Reason is a eight-time teacher of preaching and worship leadership to Synod of Lincoln Trails
