Trinity Presbyterian Church West Lebanon Receives National Recognition |

Trinity was recognized by Union Presbyterian Seminary for their innovative ministry of nursing home VBS with receipt of the Louse McComb Award for congregations that are creatively meeting vital Christian Education needs of older adults in the church and community.
In 2011, Trinity Presbyterian finished their fourteenth year of Vacation Bible School onsite at Williamsport Health and Rehabilitation. This heart-warming program takes the complete VBS program to the nursing and rehabilitation center. Seated at tables are deliberately mixed groups of Trinity students and nursing home residents. They work, sing, learn, and play side by side.

Commissioned Ruling Elder Continuing Education Offered by the Synod of Lincoln Trails
The Synod of Lincoln Trails is offering continued education to commissioned ruling elders. The Rev. Dr. Laura Reason, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Highland, Ind. will lead participants through the sacred seasons of the luturgical year. Dr. Reason is a eight-time teacher of preaching and worship leadership to Synod of Lincoln Trails ruling elders.

Message from Eric Hoey
My desire to see the PC(USA) become a "turnaround denomination" during my tenure here. I believe God will use one of our new GAMC initiatives, "to work together to ignite in our denomination a movement which results in the creation of 1001 new worshipping communities." This initiative passed by the GAMC is the "game changer" for our denomination because it forces us to think differently about what is church, how we count them, what we count, how we train, develop, and credential leaders. It drives us to think past traditional New Church Development models into new areas. Planting communities of faith was a part of our DNA many years ago. This iniatiative will help us rediscover this practice.
