From Susan Davis Krummel, Candidate for moderator of the 220th General Assembly.

It is with great pleasure that I announce that the person who will stand for election as vice moderator alongside me at the 220th General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church USA is the Rev. Dr. Sanghyuan James Lee of Columbia, South Carolina, in Trinity Presbytery. As you will see from his resume below, Dr. Lee brings broad experience in leadership in the PCUSA as well as a deep devotion to mission. Both will serve him well as a candidate for vice moderator. I look forward to working with him in the months leading up to the Assembly. And, if the General Assembly should elect us as moderator and vice moderator, I look forward to working with Dr. Lee to interpret the actions of the Assembly and to bring our unique perspectives to the church in the years between this Assembly and the next.

by Cynthia Bolbach

Moderator of the 219th General Assembly (2010)

LOUISVILLE -- I was expecting February to be a typical month in the life of the Moderator of the General Assembly: visits to Riverside and Northern Waters Presbyteries, meetings in Louisville of the Committee on the Office of the General Assembly and the General Assembly Mission Council, and the NEXT Church conference in Dallas.

But then life intervened.
