Presbyterian Writer's Guild Holds Conference, Seeks Best New Author
Sixteen workshops are planned for the 2011 Writers Conference sponsored by the Presbyterian Writers Guild. The conference will be held May 16-17 at Laws Lodge at Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. Michael Jinkins, President of the seminary and prolific writer, will be the keynote speaker. More about the conferenceRegister online The guild is seeking entries for its annual Jim Angell Award, which has been presented each year since 1996 to the Presbyterian author of the best first book published during the previous calendar year. Nominations are being accepted now for books published during 2010. Books may be of any type - fiction, non-fiction, theological, how-to, photos with commentary, poetry, etc. Deadline for submissions is April 1, 2011. More about the Jim Angell Award |

 Continuing Education for Lay Pastors The Sacred Seasons workshop series looks ahead through the liturgical year, preparing lay leaders for preaching and worship responsibilities in each season. You may take one workshop or the whole series. The next workshop, titled Disciples to the Nations - Preparing for Pentecost I will be Saturday, June 4.
