 Oneida Pastor Assigned to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Carolyn Weber, until recently pastor at the United Church of Oneida (Ill.), is serving as an English teacher and library adviser at the Mekane Yesus Theological Seminary.
The seminary, a long-standing partner of the Presbyterian Church
(U.S.A.), prepares leaders for the fast-growing Ethiopian Evangelical
Church Mekane Yesus, which has more than 5 million members and
congregations all across Ethiopia.
An ordained PC(USA) pastor for two decades, Carolyn served the United Church of Oneida, a federated congregation
of the PC(USA) and the United Methodist Church, from
1999 to 2009. Learn more about Carolyn's ministry.

Apply for Young Adult U.S. Mission Opportunities
Applications continue to be
accepted for the Young
Adult Volunteer (YAV) program for placements within the United States during
the 2010-2011 year. Young Adult Volunteers serve in communities of need in 10
cities across the country. The program emphasizes spiritual formation,
vocational discernment and the experience of living in an intentional Christian
community. People between 19 and 30 years old are eligible to apply and the
application deadline is April 20. Apply
