Synod Offers Grants to Attend Atlanta Event June 11-13

What's Big Tent? It's a gathering of TEN PC(USA) conferences in the same place, at the same time! What a grand celebration of our denomination! Attendees of any of the ten conferences will enjoy shared meals, workshops, worship services and a grand concluding celebration, in addition to their own special conference activities.

Free Hotel! The first 100 to register for Big Tent, pay the conference registration fee, and select "Presbyterian Communicators' Network" as their primary conference affiliation will have three nights paid hotel accommodations for the conference. Unique Opportunity This Year to Observe the Holy Season of Lent

On Sunday, March 29, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in North Christian Church, Columbus, Ind., just as the season of Lent is drawing to a close, a group of Columbus churches will present a very special aid to our own spiritual journeys.
 
The Rev. Linda Loving will perform a drama of the life and spiritual teachings of the medieval mystic, Julian of Norwich. An ordained Presbyterian minister with a combined background in theater and theology, Loving has performed J. Jonda's one-woman play, Julian, more than 70 times around this country and in England. This program is underwritten by the First Presbyterian Church of Columbus, Ind., and co-sponsored by North Christian Church and St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. More...

Interim Pastor Training is May 4 through 8

The Synods of Mid-America and Lincoln Trails (MALT) join together every spring and fall to provide interim training to pastors nationwide. Interim training is intended for those presently engaged in interim ministry and those inquiring about this ministry. Committee on Ministry members and presbytery staff persons with responsibility for congregations in transition will also find the training helpful. More...

MALT also offers interim executive training once a year for current or potential synod or presbytery executives. The next interim executive training is Nov. 6 through 10, 2009. More...
